Of late... I have come to realize that creating some thing highly complicated which may in itself be a technological marvel is useless, unless someone buys it. Moreover... most people seldom use technology because they need it... they do so because they have no other choice.

The way I see it... the primary reason why people like me (engineers to be more precise) create stuff, is not because we are doing society a service by making things easier for them... instead our primary focus is to maximize our gains in such a clever manner such that others are grateful to us.

Its like eating the cake and having it too... :)
